my gggrandfather was an indian territory outlaw named john cook..i am wondering if anyone knows if he is related to the cook gang...he was shot or hung after stealing some calvary horses in 1887. I know that they called him bear and his father was irish and his mother was a cherokee. He had black hair and a red beard...he was from northern ark..and married a woman named lillis bacon in barry co. missouri...

found out my birth name was thomas cook there is alot of info on the cook gang on the net didnt find on about john though im trying to trace my family history so if you have any info that would be great
