The February issue of Wild West magazine is carrying my version of the gun battle between Black Jack Christian and his brother and a posse of Deputy U. S. Marshals near Purcell, I. T. It contains a photo depicting Walt Hocker, the theme of the article, which also includes Deputies Matt Cook and John Swain. Most of the rest are unidentified (positively) but most likely includes: John McCord, John Adams, Charlie Smith, Ben Goode, and Ed Carolton. It could also include John Walner. If anyone reads this article and recognizes any of the men, please let me and the rest of the world know.
