I just rec'd my copy of the WOLA "Saddle Bag" Newsletter. It contained a letter from Bob McCubbin, new President of the new Wild West History Association and among the selections made by the new board is that of Oklahombres member and past president of the organization, our own Roy Young as Editor.
For those of you not aware, WOLA (the Western Outlaw-Lawman History Association,) and NOLA (the North America Outlaw-Lawman Association) voted to join and become one organization but with a broader scope. One taking in all the rich stories and traditions of the Old West. As to officers of the new outfit, it's only fitting that McCubbin should be president, since he suggested the name. And, as VP is Dakota Livesay, some of you may know as the publisher of that wonderful little paper, the "Chronicle of the Old West." Chuck Parsons, current editor of the NOLA journal will take on the responsibilities of the WWHA Saddlebag newsletter and as mentioned, Roy Young will be editor of the new journal. This is a position Roy eagerly sought and one he is especially well suited to take on. We will only wish him luck because he's going to have all the skilled help he needs as, to help him sort through the material to be published, is Fred Nolan, author and historian of so many works space does not allow mention of all, will be heading up the editorial committee. The domain of www.WildWestHistory.org has been obtained and will be up soon |

Well said Tower. To those who belong to one or both (WOLA and NOLA) lets work to make WWHA the premier association of western history.
