The event is scheduled for October 26th and 27th. On the 26th, the United States Marshals Service will host a seminar from 6 to 10 pm at the UAFS campus which should be of interest to members, and Oklahombres members Art Burton and Robert Ernst are scheduled to give presentations. Also scheduled to speak is Park Ranger Catherine Gray (who I am delighted to see has started posting to this board). She will talk about Ned Christy. Seating is limited, and must be reserved by calling the Ft. Smith Library at 479 783 0229. The next day will feature a general gathering of decendants from 9 to 4 at the Frisco Station and Riverfront Events building, both near the river in downtown Fort Smith. Hope to see you there!

The NPS is looking for descendants of Indian Police or Indian DUSM of the Indian Territory to come and share their information at this years event. I am looking forward to a real enlighting and entertaining program in Fort Smith.
