Does anybody have any additional information on Eldorado's Night Watchman Jim Thompson? He was about 60 years old when he was shot and killed while making his rounds about 4 a.m. Friday morning, May 20, 1921. Jesse L. Haynes was convicted of his murder in June 1921 in Altus. I only have coies of The Saturday Times (Harmon Co)of May 21, 1921, P. 1, C. 3 and of June 11, 1921, P.1, C.1-2.

I have copies of two articles out of the El Dorado newspaper (don't bother to read it at OHS as many are missing).

I also have copies of two very lengthy articles out of the Altus Times-Democrat about the shooting of Thompson and the subsequent trial of Haynes. Much too long to post here.
