Oliver Cromwell Scoresby
Anyone ever run into this guy. His death notice indicated he was a former US deputy marshal, but didn't say where. He lived in Grant county OK in 1900, reportedly in Eureka Springs AR in 1906, in Edmond in 1910, and in OKC in 1920 & 1930. He died 13 Sept 1945, burial in Fairlawn Cemetery in OKC (Smith & Kernke funeral home).

Hi TOWER - Oliver Cromwell Scoresby was the younger brother of Harriet Scoresby Colcord (wife of Charles Francis Colcord). His father was born in England and served as a minister in Reno county, KS (had homestead) and also had a claim in Barber county, KS. O.C. was born about 1869 in Iowa while the family was migrating to Kansas. After his sister married Colcord, he went to Okla Territory and assisted his brother-in-law with law enforcement, and later worked in the oil industry.

By the way - where, exactly, is his burial in Fairlawn OKC located?
