DC's Newest Museum to Be New Headquarters for FOX TV's Hit Series,
America 's Most Wanted

Partner and Show Host, John Walsh, relocates the show's studio to the
National Museum of Crime & Punishment, Opening May 9th, 2008

Washington, DC – After more than 20 years on the air, the hit FOX TV
program America's Most Wanted (AMW) brings crime fighting to the
heart of the nation's capital and where the nation's most interactive
TV program will be seen first hand: the 28,000-square-foot National
Museum of Crime & Punishment, which will serve as both an interactive
exhibit and studio for the popular crime fighting series. The new AMW
interactive studio – which also houses the well-known AMW hotline (1-
800-CRIME-TV) is the new location where the show originates many
broadcasts.

"We're really proud of our new home," said show host and museum
partner John Walsh. "The museum has a lot of components to it, and
something really important to us is that we pay tribute to law
enforcement officers. Most of the American public doesn't really know
the sacrifices these men and women make on a daily basis, but they
will now and we're very proud of that," he said. "From personal
experiences and traveling the world for America's Most Wanted, I've
seen first-hand cops' sacrifices. Visiting the museum will be a great
opportunity to see these two great forces combine in educating the
public on crime and safety in America ," said Walsh.

Although the show shoots many of its episodes at locations related to
the fugitives being profiled, the new museum based AMW studio is used
frequently when the show originates from its Washington , DC
Headquarters. During these studio tapings, museum guests are invited
to "witness" the taping of the show LIVE. Another exciting addition
to the museum is the AMW Hotline, which has been used to take down
nearly 1,000 dangerous fugitives. Beginning at 6:00 pm on Saturdays,
the team of trained operators fields incoming calls and e-mails,
turning those leads immediately over to federal and local police in
the hopes of apprehending the fugitives profiled on the show.

The studio also serves as an interactive learning experience where
guests will discover and learn about John Walsh's personal tragedy
that led him to become the nation's most well known and successful
crime fighter. It also explores the significant impact his program
has made on crime fighting in this country. Interactive exhibits
within the AMW gallery include a studio camera with greenscreen
technology allowing for virtual "intros" and interviews by John

Walsh and providing guests with the true "live television"
experience. Guests can also use a touchscreen and zip code analysis
to learn more about community-based prevention programs in their own
neighborhoods. In support of youth safety, parents can create
children's photo ID cards including pictures, fingerprints, and
descriptions.

Owned and operated by Orlando businessman John Morgan in partnership
with John Walsh the NMCP is located at 575 7th Street NW between E
and F Streets in downtown Washington , D.C. With historical
artifacts typically found in a traditional museum, combined with
dynamic interaction, the National Museum of Crime & Punishment
presents the history of crime and punishment in America ,
encompassing everything from pirates, Wild West outlaws, serial
killers and gangsters to white collar criminals hiding behind
computer technology. Along the way, the museum explores crime-
fighting and crime-solving techniques as well as the consequences of
committing a crime.

Permanent attractions include opportunities to interact with a
realistic forensics lab, a simulated FBI shooting range, high-speed
police chase training equipment, an electric chair, and a lie
detector test.

The museum, which will include a retail shop, will open in May 9th,
2008. NMCP is located on the web at www.crimemuseum.org. For sales
information, call (202) 393-1099. For media information, call (703)
534-4600 x216.
