One of our members has just had another book published by PublishAmerica, called "Robbin' Banks & Killin Cops," which is the story and life of Devol, a member of the Barker-Karpis gang of the 1930s. Hopefully everyone will support his new efforts and purchase his book. Congratulations Bob!!!
Although Larry DeVol is virtually unknown today to all but 1930s lawmen/outlaw aficionados, this Oklahoma native certainly made his mark in the annals of American crime. DeVol was an important member of the Barker/Karpis group and likely involved in the mysterious Severs Hotel murder case as well as several other high profile homicides (He was a serial cop-killer) and bank robberies.It's about time someone took the time to chronicle his fascinating but twisted life.Way to go Bob Ernst.....R.D
