Has anyone ever heard of Sam Dobbs? He was an outlaw in the 1920's. My dad (now deceased)remembered some men in a car driving by to see Sam and there were several machine guns in the back floorboard. Everyone had to leave the main room of the house when these men came to the house. Sam was killed by his stepson (my granddad). My dad wrote the story down for me before he died. Also, the KKK whipped Sam on Jackson Hill in Hughes County, and my mother lived nearby as a girl and they could hear the noise and yelling. I would love to find out more about Sam Dobbs.
