The Oklahoma Revolution, by William D. McBee, is a very good book on the Walton impeachment. The author was a legislator who was involved in the process and had first hand information. It was published in 1956 by Modern Publishers, Inc.

A copy of the articles of impeachment are included in the back of the book.

How did you become interested in Jack Walton? He had his hand in a little bit of everything. One of the issues that led to his impeachment was issuing pardons and paroles to bank robbers (for financial compensation).

He issued a pardon to Jess Litrell who was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of my great grandfather L M Boulware. And Litrell had only served about 6 years. Supposedly Litrell's brothers testified to the impeachment court that they had paid bribes to Walton.
