Someone asked me recently if I knew when and where Lee Flourney was shot and killed. Does anyone know the answer??? I know that he is buried in Joplin, MO, as I have been to his grave, but didn't know the exact date and place of death. I thought it was around Commerce, Oklahoma or Baxter Springs, Kansas. Can anyone help???

Lee was slain along with outlaw Charley Mayes on June 9, 1926, in Picher, Ok. by lawman William Schmulbach (Billy Shoebox).The pair had recently robbed a bank in Kansas...R.D.
