My great grand father Frank Pitts was killed during a bank robbery in Ketchum, Craig Co., OK. He was working as a Teller at the Bank at the time. The date he died was Aug 9, 1923. I was wondering who killed him and what happened? I know nothing other than what is stated here? Thank you, mgpennington@earthlink.net

Frank Pitts Sr. was slain by Richard A. Birke, age 24, who was executed by the state on 9-5-24.The other hijackers were Dick Ivey and Ray Thomas. All three hailed from Tulsa.
