My great-grandmother married a fellow named Jack Palmer in the 1930s. According to my aunt, he was a gangster, and she remembers tagging along with my great-grandmother in the early 1940s to visit him "in the Federal Prison at Fayetteville". I don't believe there was a Federal prison, there, and I haven't found any record of him at the county courthouse there.
I think he was active in the four-state region, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas in the 1930s, but don't have any idea where to find him. Would anybody have an idea? Thanks! |
