I'm wondering if someone could help me with this...
When Federal Agents Frank Smith and Frances J. (Joe) Lackey went after Frank Nash, Lackey borrowed a 12gauge shotgun from the OKC PD (Agents were not yet being issued weapons). Lackey and Smith were accompanied by McAlester Police Chief Otto Reed. Chief Reed took along his personal Winchester model 12. This gun was 16, and Reed loaded it with handloads packed with ball bearings instead of lead shot. At some point, while bringing Nash in, Lackey and Reed switched guns. It was Reed's 16 gauge that Lackey used in the Kansas City Massacre. My question is, could anyone tell me what the make and model of the shotgun that Lackey borrowed from the OKC PD was? This would be the gun that Reed ended up with, and it was never fired at the KC Massacre. |
