Does anyone have any info on I believe his correct name is T. John Kirk, City Marshal of Marble City in Sequoyah County who was beat to death in Oct 1911 by six drunks?
Need to determine his date of death.

The Daily Oklahoman, Thurs.,Oct. 5, 1911, P-3, C-4 has "Muskogee, Okla., Oct. 4 - ...late Wednesday night.." (Oct 4th?)

The Daily Ardmoreite, Thurs., Oct.5, 1911, P-5, C-4 has " Muskogee, Okla.,Oct.4 -...yesterday afternoon..." (Oct.3rd, Tues.?)

The Star Gazette (Sallisaw), Fri., Oct. 6, 1911,P-2,C-4 has "..beaten Saturday night just after midnight (Sunday, Oct.1st?)..died 30 hours later...died 6 a.m. this morning.."(Monday, Oct.2nd?)

Muldrow Press, Fri.,Oct. 6, 1911, P-1, C-3 has "...Wednesday night.." (Oct.4th?)

State's vital records could not find a death certificate for him.
Any further info would be greatly appreciated in assisting in getting his name added to the State and Nat'l Law Enforcement Memorials.

Hi,

Do you know where he is buried? If so, I can possibly find an accurate date of death or you can if you have access to cemetery records or funeral records.
