|I thought this newspaper item from August 28th, 1948 was interesting. Burglars broke into the OHS museum in Oklahoma City at night, when the museum was not guarded. The burglars went directly to a gun case located in the north wing of the fourth floor, where they stole four old pistols, two leather holsters, a cartridge belt, and a pair of brass knuckles. Three of the pistols were in good condition and could be fired, while the fourth piece was an ancient flintlock.|
