I just ran across John A Wolsey's personal Colt 1911. Nickel plated with about 75% engraving and "JA" engraved on the mother of pearl grips. The slide is engraved "J.A. Wosley Muskogee, OKLA." The S/N checks out to be around 1919 or so.

I guess the guy was the Chief around 1934 or so, but a search didn't turn up much of anything else.

Does anyone have any additional information they would like to share about the man?
