Looking for any information on a man named C.P. Basher.(first name maybe Cecil?) He was supposed to be a retired Texas Ranger, or Deputy U.S Marshal. He lived on Hayrick Mound in NE Oklahoma. He would have been around 60 years old when he lived there in the early to late thirties.

Rumors were that he harbored outlaws, and/or was in fear of retribution from outlaws at his home.

My grandfather was an aquantance of his, and regularly frequented his ranch.

According to family stories, there were strange goings on there.

I can't find any ifo on him, and by all accounts he was a secretitive man. If, by any chance, you have heard of him, I would be glad for the information.
