My name is Carl and I just wanted to say hi (just joined this group).

I became interested/obsessed with the Barkers
in 1970,after reading a juicy novel called
MOTHER'S DAY by J.M.Ryan.

One thing led to another,and I started reading
real books on the Barker-Karpis gang.
I was stunned when Karpis referred to Fred
as a "natural born killer".

I'm very interested in the demise of Ma & Fred,and saw that someone here is researching it.

Welcome aboard! I too have an interest in the Barker-Karpis Gang and have done some research in the gang and its members. What are you currently looking into about the gang? I was a consultant for the A & E program a few years ago about the Bakers, maybe you saw it. Members R. Mattix and R. Trekell were also involved in this televsion project. Hope to hear from you soon.
