Has anyone ran across an article or any information on Deputy Sheriff John Green who was supposedly stabbed to death by a John Stone on Saturday, August 28, 1886, in Bryan County as Stone was escaping the county jail. A week later Stone was taken from the jail at "Blueville" and lynched.
Blue is in Bryan County, OK.
Only article found so far has Denison, TX, Sept 3 as the Date line.
