In January, 1902, deputy US Marshal A. M. Foss arrested Eb Williams for the robbery and brutal beating death of Sam Sing, a Pauls Valley laundry man. Discovery of this stimulated my curiousity. I know there was a sizeable population of Chinese in Oklahoma City for when they built the tunnels connecting buildings down town they discovered a whole subterranean community. But, my question is: Was there a general population of Asians in the Territory and does anyone have any idea of the percentage of population?
