I have an article from "The Dallas Morning News" of Sunday, Feb. 25, 1900, which reads:
"An Outlaw's Capture, Hopkinsville, Ky.,Feb 24- Sheriff Porter of Enid, OK., this afternoon captured near Hopkinsville, Jacob Poindexter, the colored desperado, who shot two women and when escaping fatally wounded the marshal and shot the deputy. He will return without requisition."
Does anyone know who the City Marshal of Enid was that they are talking about being shot and killed in this article?
