I am a relative newcomer to all this old west stuff. With that said and afer debating it for weeks (because of the perceived parking problem) I fially made a trek to the OU Campus to go to the Western History Library - parking was not a problem, thanks to some information from Tower. I did manage to make it to the top floor (four flights) without passing out from exhaustion (keep in mind it was 55 years ago that I went to OU and worked in that very building in that very room - somehow I don't remember it being that far to the top). Anyway, I found what I was looking for; found another wonderful story on my research article, then browzed thru the phto books. I didn't even skim the surface of what they have there!

For those of you who are doing research in various libraries, don't forget this one. Only after I got ready to leave did I learn there was an elevator for those of us who are not as young as we once were.

The man working in the library did say not to come down on football days as you will never find a parking space!!!!!
