Flaco, I am not a member of the SASS, but we do have many SASS members who do contribute to the forum. Correct history and information will help the SASS in its interpretation and recreation of the old west. Oklahoma has sadly been neglected by many people who study frontier history, but there was no where west of the Mississippi where so many gunfights and deaths of peace officers occured.

Nothing I like more than good discussions about old west history.I am glad I found this site,I see some very intelligent chats going here.I am Originally from Lawton,spent most of my life in Texas In Ft.Worth,Whichita Falls and Tascosa,but live in New Mexico now.I found this site after talkin to a friend about Brushy Bill and was looking for info.that proved him a fake.I found it and started looking for info on Bill Brazelton just for fun.Do you know who I am talking about and have any info?

Flaco, I'm a member of SASS, #22059. I live north of Lawton and shoot with the Shortgrass Rangers west of Grandfield, Ok. Oh, my SASS alias is Oklahombre! I've been a member of Oklahombres since the early 90's, I don't know exactly when I started paying dues.

I too am an SASS member, but I don't compete anymore. Its a great organization though.
