Hello! I am new to this board.
Deputy Marshal Thomas Jefferson Yount was my great, great grandfather. My grandmother, Dorothy Martin (maiden name Yount) has talked about listening to her grandfather tell stories of when he was under Judge Isaac Parker. She says he was one tough customer even in his later years. I am wanting to research and find out more about him and the Indian Territory marshals.
I noticed that there was an article written about him in a past Oklahombres Journal, but I have not yet found a way of obtaining that. Does anyone here have any information on him?

Any info would be great. Thanks!

Zack Martin
Lawton, OK

Zack,

Thomas Jefferson Yount is also my Great Great Grandfather. His daughter Mattie Vera Yount/Pearce was my Great Grandmother. You can email me at cndelee@misn.com and I will gladly share what I know but I will also have my great uncle contact you too. He has quite a bit of info. I have a picture that I would gladly have copied and send to you.

Looking forward to hear from you,
Cindy
