Is anyone familiar with James Hutchins? He is said to have worked in the Southern District at the same time as Heck Thomas

A James Robert "Bob" Hutchins was one of Heck's possemen. There's a book on him called "Gunman's Territory," by Elmer LeRoy Baker, Naylor Co. 1969, but it's not accurate on a lot of points. He was a lawman for over fifty years serving stints as a posseman, Deputy US Marshal, and Chief of Police at Ardmore, Oklahoma. He also served as a US Boarder Guard.
