I’m doing research in connection with the Dyer gang of outlaws. According to the Territorial Topic, August 6, 1891, p.1, quoting an August 2nd Paris, Texas, dispatch, Frank Cohen, wanted by the Oklahoma authorities for horse stealing, was captured during a joint operation between Paris, Texas deputies and Oklahoma Territory deputies. Cohen was said to have been an escaped convict from Arkansas. He was also thought to be a friend and associate of the notorious Jim Dyer, who had been recently captured and jailed in Oklahoma Territory. Does anyone have any information concerning this arrest?
