My great great grandfather was William Joseph Williams of Madill, OK (1862 - 1935). He had a son, Chester Williams who is my grandfather Rev. Gail Williams' father. Now, I realize that no one currently living knows my ancestors, but the family story as passed down through my grandfather is that the family moved to Madill following the Killough Massagre. The story is that we are Cherokee influenced, and many folks who meet my grandfather for the first time always comment (or ask) if he is native american. Does anyone here know of any Williams from Madill who took part in the Killough Massacre?

Cheers
M
