I recently found an article in the Daily Oklahoman from 1918 indicating that a man had come forward and indicated that it was not Ned Christie who killed Deputy Marshal Dan Maples from ambush, but that it was future Deputy Marshal Bud Trainor. Has anyone else ever heard of this scenario?
