A SKELETON FOUND

The number of persons killed in the "Beautiful Indian Territory" during the past few years could be numbered by the hundreds. Many have been killed in fights and by the "Light Horse," while a considerable number have been murdered for booty, and their skeletons left to bleach where they fell. It is no difficult matter to find the "running gear" of what was once an able-bodied man, by devoting a short time to hunt in either the timber land or on the prairie, in any part of the five civilized nations. The Atoka Independent in its last issue gives an account of the discovery of a skeleton three miles south of Limestone Gap, by some tie makers. The skull, some parts of the clothing, the hat and shoes are at the house of Mr. Charles Leflore. From the appearance the man must have been dead about five or six months. If any one knows of any person missing about that length of time, they can call and examine the remains and see if they can be identified.
