Deputy U.S. Marshals Bass Reeves and Heck Thomas worked the Chickasaw Nation at the same time. Has anyone found anything or heard any stories where they may have worked together at anytime?

I've not come across a specific mention of the pairing. Heck, when he moved to White Bead Hill used several possemen, some of whom later received commissions.

I just received some documents regarding the killing of Willliam Towery by William Moody, John McAllister and James Wallace, while Towery resisted arrest. Heck Thomas testified:

"Deputy Moody was Stokely's posse, Mr. Wallace was my regular posse and Mr. McAllister was my guard."
