Is there any books that discuss the Wichita federal court that had jurisdiction over a portion of the Oklahoma/Indian Territory and the activities of the deputies that worked for this court? I do know that the notorious Creek Freedmen Tobler brothers were executed in Wichita for a murder committed in the territory.

The brothers Joe and Jake Tobler, Creek Freedmen outlaws were executed by federal authorities in Wichita, Kansas on November 21, 1888, for robbery and murder. The crimes were committed in the Indian Territory. There had been a white man executed in Wichita previously by the federal court. To my knowledge there were only three hangings by the federal court in Wichita.
