Does anyone know where the Bill Doolin Burial site is located?

Per my mother's information, her grandmother Dunn (nee Pruitt) was a niece of Bill Doolin. I noticed on another post that some "Dunn brothers" might have killed Bill Doolin. Does anyone know which Dunn Bros. these were? Were they local posse out of a town or deputized marshalls?

Bill Doolin is buried in Guthrie, Oklahoma in the "boot hill" section of the cemetery. There is a large tombstone which is easy to locate.

The Dunn brothers did indeed participate in the posse which killed Doolin. The posse was led by Deputy US Marshal Heck Thomas. The Dunn brothers were "possemen" working for Heck Thomas. There is a dispute over who actually killed Doolin when he refused to surrender. Thomas took credit for firing the fatal shot that killed Doolin. Another version of the story has one of the Dunns firing the fatal shot.

I visited his grave several years ago. There's another old thug buried beside him. I can't remember which one it was.

Another version of the story is that Doolin died of illness and Heck Thomas and the others staged a shootout so that rewards could be earned which were given to Doolin's widow and child.

Makes for a good story anyway.
