According to The Ponca City Democrat, on 11/4/1902, The body of Casey was delivered to Guthrie, Oklahoma Territory, by U.S. Marshal W.D. Fossett and Federal Jailor J.L. McCracken. Sims' body had been turned over to the sheriff of Blaine county. Marshal Fossett kept possession of the outlaws' two guns. I would like to identify the two firearms.

A lot of misinformation back then, so it's hard to tell...i.e. Jim Sims body was not turned over to Blaine County, he is buried in the Cleo Springs cemetery over on the East fence. My assessment is that Sims and Casey were killed in their sleep. If there are no witnesses then your story must be true!! There is no telling where the firearms ended up!!
