Looking for any information on Deputy U.S. Marshal Melvin O. Billings, deputy out of the Guthrie federal court from at least 1900 to about 1903. He died prior to 1903. He was born about 1861 in Indiana. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi...a woman from Moab, Utah called me to appraise an 1872 Colt revolver that was owned by Melvin....she said it was taken from an outlaw when Melvin was a deputy marshal. While trying to authenticate the "family Story" I ran across a short bio at this web site:
