I am looking for info on my g grandfather, James Emory Coker. According to family he was a U.S. Marshal or Deputy Marshal in Indian Territory. He lived in Indian Territory from 1893 to sometime in the early 1900`s in what is now Stephens Co., Ok. around Marlow,Ok. MY uncle who is his grandson says he is buried around Amarillo ,Tx. but I haven`t found anything to confirm that. I would greatly appreciate help . Thank`s Linda B.

I checked my database of known IT/OT lawmen and find no one listed as Coker. However, there are new names found all the time. Good luck!
