Looking for information on Seminole Lighthorse officer Billy Cully who was killed February 3, 1906. Have retype of ada Evening News of Feb 19, 1906, and Ron Owens' "Oklahoma Heroes" story page 230. Need copies of articles to submit his name to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.

Dennis,
I wrote an article in recent years for the journal on the Seminole Lighthorse Police where I talked about the death of Cully and other Indian policemen. I don't have the exact date now but it shouldn't be hard to find.

This is what I have on Cully:

Billy Cully was a member of the Seminole Lighthorse. He was killed by a blow to the head on February 3, 1906 in a shack five miles west of Sasakwa. Three men were implicated in the murder. Alex Harjo, Barney Fixico, and Wildcat were arrested by Deputy U.S. Marshal John Cordell prior to February 19.
