Arms Gazette June 1977

An article written by Steve Englert was published by the Arms Gazette magazine in June 1977. A picture of the cover is at the link above.

The 7 page article has numerous photos. It is a good item to grab on to if you happen to come across it somewhere.

Sadly, Steve D. Englert of Loveland, Colorado and James L. McLaughlin of Stillwater, Oklahoma, were indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for theft of Bat Masterson letters from the Colt Museum at Hartford, Conn. The pictured Tilghman firearm was hidden for years and is now in dreadful condition. Tilghman's badges were also peddled away at gun shows.
