I think I posted this incorrectly before. I am looking for information about the Gumley Brothers who escaped from Newkirk Jail in 1894, after being imprisoned for cattle rustling. After their escape, they shot & killed a man named Ed Wintermute. To my knowledge, they were never found. An old newspaper article I can no longer find online mentioned that they ran a meat market in the city (somewhere in Kay Co.). I would love to find out their first names!
