I am a Newbe looking for info on two OK US marshals James S Cheek and H.V. Jobe both before 1900 any help is app. thanks Paul.

According to "The Marshal's Force," by Robert E. King, Cheek was commissioned out of the Ft. Smith court. Jobe was commissioned Feb. 26, 1895 by the same court serving Marshal George Crump.

I've run across Cheek's name before but I can't remember where. I'll have to check some old resources and get back to you.

Thanks for the info I belive Cheek is related to me on my Grandmothers side and Jobe is Related to my wife on her mothers side thanks again for the info Paul.
