Hi All-
I apologize as I've probably posted this in the wrong place! Many of you may already know about the upcoming workshop sponsored by the U.S. Marshals Museum. On Saturday, September 12 we will celebrate the 220-year anniversary of the U.S. Marshals Service with a genealogy workshop titled "Genealogy 101: Tracing Your Roots." Registration begins at 8:30a and the workshop will conclude at 4:30p. Our sessions are: How to Begin a Genealogy Project-Christine Rose, CG, CGL, FASG How to Conduct Effective Oral History Interviews-Juliana Nykolaiszyn, Oklahoma Research Program, OSU Library How to Utilize the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)-Barbara Rust, Senior Archivist, NARA-Fort Worth How to Do Genealogy Research on the Internet-Diana Curry, Genealogy Specialist, Fort Smith Public Library How to Research U.S. Marshals-David Turk, Historian, U.S. Marshals Service and Bob Ernst, Researcher The cost is $35/person (includes lunch).
